Americans love their Thanksgiving casseroles.

According to Google Trends search data, slow-cooked dishes have been the top-searched term in Google for the past month. 

While many people can’t wait to see casseroles on their Thanksgiving tables alongside that prized turkey, it turns out there’s not just one casserole that’s dominating online searches. From potato casseroles to hearty greens, corn and stuffing – Americans are looking up a variety of casserole recipes.

While these searches aren’t necessarily focused on casseroles and can vary from person to person, Google Trends has been able identify “uniquely sought” recipes state by state. 

Fox News was told by a spokesperson for Google Trends that a unique search is one where a word or phrase is more commonly found in a particular region than it is elsewhere. California was searched uniquely for avocados, which means they were unique searched. [for]This is more than all of the U.S.

Americans from the Southeast like Thanksgiving casseroles made with squash. The Midwest and Northeast prefer potatoes, broccoli and corn. It seems that the South Central and Western U.S. have an insatiable appetite for broccoli and green beans casseroles.
