Noah Syndergaard didn’t quite leave New York without buzzing a fastball by Mike Francesa, one of the city’s legendary sports radio hosts.
Syndergaard was a former player for the New York Mets between 2015 and 2021. He signed last week with the Los Angeles Angels. Following Tommy John surgery in which he developed inflammation and then missed most of the 2020 season, and much of the 2021 season, Syndergaard was unable to play.

Francesa wasn’t exactly tearing up about Syndergaard’s decision to join the Angels.
Syndergaard would be a better fit for the Mets. Francesa posted Friday’s tweet, “The Mets would be better without Syndergaard for many years,”
The first tweet provoked a response from the pitcher.
He replied, “Damn! I didn’t realize you were still here.” He replied, “Congratulations!”
A day later, Francesa acknowledged the tweet from Syndergaard but didn’t reply directly to him.
