The Five reacted to Ahmaud’s trial in Georgia in which three men were convicted Wednesday of felony murder. They noted that this was a good example of how the justice system works.

“It’s interesting that tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving as a nation, and that we are giving thanks for our country and system.” [of]A trial by jury. It’s sometimes … slow and it takes a long time – it’s been a year and a half. What do you know? It works,” Dana Perino added about the Arbery verdict.

In addition to felony murder the defendants – Travis McMichael, 35; his father, Gregory McMichael, 65; and their neighbor William Bryan, 52 –  were also convicted of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

McMichael’s younger brother was found guilty for “murdering with malice”. This is when an accused deliberately or unlawfully kills someone.

AHMAUD ARBERY CASES: DEFENSE CONVICTED OF RACISM AND BIGOTRY FOR TOENAILS COMMENT IN CLOSEING ARGUMENTS

The panel of “The Five” continued to debate the striking differences between the Ahmaud Arkery case and Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial. Greg Gutfeld stated that media and other people would be better able to predict how the jury will decide in this case, if they looked at the facts rather than looking at everything from the perspective of race.

Gutfeld stated, “So humans like to group things together, especially when they happen near each other.” For me, the Rittenhouse case is the same as the Arbery crime. Both are very close. It shows that you can predict the outcome of each case if your filter is self-defense.

You wouldn’t use a filter other than race if you did. Rittenhouse says self-defense. Arbery clearly is murder. Gutfeld said that the prism, or self-defense prism would have shown you how it would pan out.” Gutfeld added.

Arbery was a Black 25-year old man, who attempted to flee the defendants of Satilla Shores. Georgia.

According to the prosecution, Arbery died because he “was a Black man who was running down the street.” The defendants claimed they were trying to carry out a legitimate citizen’s arrest, a law that has since been repealed in Georgia, and that Travis McMichael shot Arbery in self-defense.

The point is that you must have multiple filters in your life. Otherwise, you will be extremely confused. It was a great decision. The justice system worked … the media [assumed] that … White jurors only vote in a specific way and they grouped in in a bigoted, uniform, bigoted manner. We know this is false and every case is unique. Each case is unique. Gutfeld advised against making generalizations.
