Brian Laundrie update: Apparent human remains consist of 'bones' found in park, source confirms

Brian Laundrie and his parents went on Wednesday morning to search for evidence of human remains. Florida‘s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, where their son, a FugitiveFox News confirms that the last known evidence of a ‘bones’ was dated to. 

Fox News Digital was informed by a source that apparent bones, or “bones”, were found in the park Wednesday morning. They are located near belongings believed to be Brian Laundrie’s such as a notebook or backpack.

These items were discovered in an area which, until recent, was underwater. The FBI’s Tampa special agent Michael McPherson stated that the evidence team was on-scene using all available forensic tools to treat the area. The team is likely to be present on the scene for several more days.”

Officials have not yet said whether the remains are Laundrie’s, but the Laundries’ attorney, Steven Bertolino, has told Fox News Digital the “probability is high.” 

Chris and Roberta Laundrie said Brian, 23, left his family’s North Port, Florida, home on Sept. 13 to hike in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, located alongside the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve. After initially identifying the date Brian disappeared as September 14, the Laundries attorney changed the timeline several weeks later.

Laundrie and his 22-year-old fiancée, Gabby Petito, left for a trip in mid-June with the plan to visit national parks in her white converted Ford Transit. The couple had met years earlier on Long Island, New York, where they grew up, and later moved into the North Port home with Brian’s parents.

Petito’s body was later discovered in Wyoming on Sept. 19, and she was later found to have died of manual strangulation. 

Laundrie is an example of a Person of InterestPetito’s MurderShe is wanted for separate charges of unauthorised use of her bank account.
